Ahmet Gun
Ahmet (İstanbul,1987) is an architect and currently a PhD candidate and working as an Research&Teaching Assistant at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). He taught architectural design studios at ITU School of Architecture between 2014-2018.
He continues his research as a visiting researcher at KU Leuven. After he completed his bachelor’s degree in Architecture (2012), he received master’s degree in Urban Design (2014) at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). During his Ph.D period, he organized a track in JaneJacobs100 Conference which took place at The Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. In his Ph.D. dissertation, he tries to develop an ICT-integrated participatory design model for urban tranformation areas in Turkey. His current research interest vary from participation in architectural design, bottom-up practices in urban interventions, crowdsourcing, ict-based participatory design, digital participation platforms.
