Through practice, research and teaching, Dr. Petra (1977) explores the role of the architect in co-production of the city - focusing on Brussels.
In her practice Alive Architecture she expands the discipline from designing built space to co-producing Lived Space.
She defended her practice-based PhD with recognition of outstanding work (2015, RMIT Melbourne, Australia) after her diploma of a post master in architecture (2006, TU Delft, Holland). She gave lectures around the world, including Hongkong, Glasgow, Paris, Stockholm, Istanbul, Berlin, Brussels… organised workshops in Hanoi , Melbourne, Lausanne, Brussels… and did exhibitions in Barcelona, Rotterdam, Brussels… She also published multiple articles (Oase, A+ 96, Bruzz …) as well as the book ‘Founding Alive Architecture’.
